SOCIAL SERVICE PROJECTS FOR 2008

 

1)  Project at Dyanjyoti Andha Vidyalaya- Project on 6th Jan 2008 at Dyanjyoti Andha Vidyalaya was held to sponsor prizes worth Rs.1500 to blind children on the annual day. Attended by W. Bro. Uday Lohakare, W. Bro. Sameer Upadhye, W. Bro. Dr. Surendra Patil,Bro. SureshTidke.

 

 

 

2)  Project at Dyanjyoti Andha Vidyalaya-Donation of oil tin & confectionaries, steel plates, shoes for blind children on 3rd Feb 2008. Attended by W. Bro. Uday Lohakare, W. Bro. Sameer Upadhye, W. Bro. Dr. Surendra Patil,Bro. SureshTidke, Bro.Dr.SanjayDeotale, Bro.Dr.Parikshit Janai. Sponsored by Bro. Suresh Tidke.

 

 

3)  Medical aid to a poor patient- A poor woman from village Mondale suffering from Tumors was given aid by way of transportation from her native village, surgery,  medicine, accommodation and food for her and accompanying person. The surgery was done for removal of tumors from her neck Sponsored by W. Bro. Dr. Surendra Patil, Bro. Dr. Parikshit Janai.

 

 

 

4)  Health check-up camp for Senior Citizens- Health check-up camp for senior citizens was held at Narendra Nagar on 18th April 2008 under the directorship of Bro. Dr. Sanjay Deotale. The project included blood investigations for cholesterol and sugar. 229 patients attended the camp.20% were detected for diabetes & 16% for cholesterol. Attended by R. W. Bro. Rajeev Khandelwal, W. 5)  Health check-up camp for Senior Citizens- The follow up of the detection camp was done on the same venue on 6th May 2008 in which free consultation and treatment was offered to the affected patients. The project was conducted by Bro.Dr. Sanjay Deotale.

 

 

6)  Donation of Computers- Two computers were donated to Kohinoor institute for mentally handicapped children as an educational aid on 1st  May 2008. The computers were donated by R. W. Bro K. L. Mokha. Attended by W. Bor. Dr. Surendra Patil, W. Bro. Dr. Yagnesh Thakar, W. Bro. Uday Lohakare, W. Bro. Sameer Upadhye,

 

7)  Donation of Computer-  A computer set was donated to an unemployed youth to earn his livelihood on 7th May 2008. The computer was donated by R. W. Bro K. L. Mokha. Attended by W. Bor. Dr. Surendra Patil, R. W. Bro. Rajeev Khandelwal, R. W. Bro K. L. Mokha W. Bro. Dr. Yagnesh Thakar, W. Bro. Uday Lohakare.

 

 

8)  Diabetes detection camp-  Diabetes detection camp & Eye check up camp for senior citizens was held on 14th  May 2008 on Reshimbagh grounds under the directorship of Bro. Dr. Sanjay Deotale. Attended by R. W. Bro. Rajeev Khandelwal, W. Bro. Dr. Yagnesh Thakar, W. Bro. Uday Lohakare, W. Bro. Sameer Upadhye, Bro.Dr. Sanjay Deotale.

 

    

 

 9) Donation of Ground Umbrellas- 6 nos. Ground Umbrellas were donated to a Cricket Academy at Reshimbagh grounds on 14th  May 2008. Attended by R. W. Bro. Rajeev Khandelwal, W. Bro. Dr. Yagnesh Thakar, W. Bro. Uday Lohakare, W. Bro. Sameer Upadhye, Bro.Dr. Sanjay Deotale.

 

 

 

10) Cataract surgery – 2 poor patients were operated, for cataract, free of cost at Mahatme Eye Hospital on 16th July, 2008. This project was coordinated by F.C. Bro. Vinay Nagdeo.
 

11) Donation of School Uniforms – School Uniforms were distributed at the hands of R.W. The R.G.M. at Saraswati  Shishu Vidyalaya, a school for Deaf & Dumb on19th July, 2008. 

 

 

12) Adoption of physically handicapped & mentally challenged girl-Bro. M.H. Shah took 1 year sponsorship of a  11 year old physically handicapped & mentally challenged girl studying in 3rd standard. Entire expenditure including transportation, school uniform, books etc which will be taken care of. The school uniform, books etc were handed to the physically handicapped & mentally challenged girl by R.W. The R.G.M.on19th July, 2008.

 

 

13) Donation of Study Materials- An under privileged undergraduate student was provided with study material with provision till he completes his graduate course on on19th July, 2008 at the hands of  R.W. The Deputy R.G.M Rajeev Khandelwal. The study material  was sponsored by F.C. Bro. Vinay Nagdeo.

 

 

14)Typhoid Vaccination Camp- On 13th July 2008, we organized a Typhoid Vaccination Camp at our lodge premises for the brethren & their families. 34 brethren & their families were vaccinated.

 
 

15)Financial aid to a poor burns patient- A poor patient with  post burns neck contracture was helped by procuring suture materials, splints and medicines. Sponsored by bro. Satish chandak. Pt was operated by Wor. Master Dr. Surendra Patil free of cost on16th June.

16) Financial aid to a poor burns patient- A poor girl who had lost her father 2 months ago had post burns contracture of both hands. She was operated free of cost by Wor. Master Dr. Surendra Patil & her medicine were sponsored  her care by Bro. Satish Chandak on 2nd July 2008

17) Dinner with blind students: On 31st July 2008 dinner was served to about 90 inmates of Dnyaan Jyoti Andh Vidyalaya, a residential blind school at Nagpur, on the occasion of birthday of Bro. Prashant Yawalkar. Bro. Yawalkar, his wife and his two daughters along with brethren of lodge themselves served the dinner to the students.

      

 

18) Donation of utility items: Utility items were donated for the blind students of Dnyaan Jyoti Andh Vidyalaya, a residential blind school at Nagpur, on 31st July 2008, at the hands of Senior Brother, Bro. Madhubhai Shah. The utility items were donated by Bro. Deepak Khanuja.
